New Code of Discipline for BSNL
Q: Why the meeting on 16th Sept. failed to evolve a consensus for a new code of discipline and recognition rules for BSNL, even though there is a dare need for it.
A: It is because of the ‘role play’ adopted by two Unions among the 13 Unions participated. Neither the Management nor the Union leaders have learnt from their past mistakes. They are repeating the crime without realizing the facts that the ground under their feet is slipping very fast. Some leaders with the inflated ego are intoxicated of their instant power, manipulated strength, cash reserve they have inherited and the propaganda ammunition in their artillery.
Management as usual, shirking their own responsibility under the pretext of “No Consensus”. Neither the management is ready to extend minimum trade Union facilities to applicant unions even though there is consensus. When the time bomb explodes the managers will escape through life boats.
