VRS-2019 was implemented in BSNL to reduce the so called heavy salary expenses with the hope that the remaning employees will get their salary on time after VRS.
Though BSNL Employees count has got reduced considerably by even less than 50% through VRS and normal retirement during the past 6 months, the serving employees are yet be paid their salary on the due date. Their June salary also remains unpaid for the past 23 days.
The amount required to meet the salary expenses is much lesser than what was earlier and BSNL's revenue has not been affected much. Yet, BSNL is not giving priority for payment of salary even during this Pandemic situation.
