Know Your Last Five call Transactions through SMS

India’s National telecom Backbone and GSM service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today introduces SMS Based Prepaid Call Details service.

With this Service BSNL’s Mobile subscribers (2G and 3G) can check LAST Call & LAST FIVE Call Transactions through SMS (toll free) which will include Date, Type, Charges, Prepaid Balance, Number and Call Duration.

To know the last 5 call transaction details BSNL Mobile Subscriber (2G and 3G) may Send SMS as follows :

1. “LAST” to 53733 – To know the last call details like Date, Type, Charge, balance, Number & Duration.

2. “LAST FIVE” to 53733 – To know the last five calls details like Date of call transaction, Type of Call, Charge, prepaid account balance, Number & Duration of call.

Please Note : Numerical 5 is also supported. i.e. “LAST5”. Latest last call transactions of the customers will be updated in the system at every 15 minutes interval and made available to the customer accordingly.

As of now, BSNL’s “SMS Based Last 5 Call Transaction” details over short code 53733 launched or available in Tamilnadu, Chennai, Kerala and it will be launched in other circles in coming days.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes has notified the scheme exempting salaried taxpayers with total income up to Rs.5 lakh from filing income tax return for assessment year 2011-12, which will be due on July 31, 2011
.  Individuals having total income up to Rs.5,00,000 for FY 2010-11, after allowable deductions, consisting of salary from a single employer and interest income from deposits in a saving bank account up to Rs.10,000 are not required to file their income tax return. Such individuals must report their Permanent Account Number (PAN) and the entire income from
bank interest to their employer, pay the entire tax by way of deduction of tax at source, and obtain a certificate of tax deduction in Form No.16. 
Persons receiving salary from more than one employer, having income from sources other than salary and interest income from a savings bank account, or having refund claims shall not be covered under the scheme.
The scheme shall also not be applicable in cases wherein notices are issued for filing the income tax return under section 142(1) or section 148 or section 153A or section 153C of the Income Tax Act 1961.

The Airtel employees in Abuja stayed away from the work alleging the company has not paid their May salary. The other issues that they are raising are-restoration of National Health Insurance Scheme, downward review of working hours, review of status of pregnant women, and unfavorable annual leave schme. The staff members, numbering about 100, have vowed not to return to work unless the May salary owed them by the organisation was paid. On Thursday morning, the aggrieved workers locked the entrance gate of the Abuja branch office demanding, among other things, the restoration of their National Health Insurance Scheme; downward review of working hours; review of the status of pregnant women and unfavourable annual leave policy. The workers, who conducted their protest in an orderly manner, were closely monitored but uninterrupted by armed police personnel.  However after about four hours of discussion between the management of the Abuja office and about 10 representatives of the workers, Sunday Al-Hassan, President of the National Union of Postal and Telecommunication Employees (NUPTE) addressed the restless workers on the outcome of the meeting. Media reports quoted Rajan Swaroop, chief executive officer of Airtel, saying that “ June 9, 2011, employees at the Call Centre in Asokoro, Abuja, run by one of our service providers, Spanco Nigeria Limited protested a dispute between them and their employer.” He said Spanco Nigeria Limited has been providing Call Centre Services to Airtel customers in Nigeria. “The Management of Airtel wishes to assure Nigerians that today’s incident would not affect the integrity of the network or the quality of service delivery to customers in Abuja area. While respecting the contractual relationship between Spanco and its employees,.”

Minister says Committed to improve BSNL

Our Hon'ble Minister Kapil Sibal says"BSNL mobile and landline subscriber base is declining, broadband subscribers are also not matching the pace of private players. So it is time BSNL tighten up its shoes and I am committed to turaround the organisation in the next six months," Sibal told reporters here.


And if he is really committed he must listen to Non-Executives who have more better ideas and who know the practical  field difficulties. He must not consult the ITS officers who only actually ruined BSNL and brought it to such a deplorable condition.
