Will atleast now BSNL improve Land Lines?

Day in and day out, field units get targets fixed for NPCs, Broad band connections etc. The marketting team sincerley canvass and bring in applications (of course in quite a few towns only.) But where a subscriber demands a connection, it is declared not feasible due to cable non-availability. The existing subscribers sufferings is beyond to describe. Field units difficulties  to serve the land line subscribers who still retain them only for broad band connections are ever increasing as almost in all the towns, under ground cables have been totally damaged due to road widening, underground sewage plans etc. When field units request new cables for replacements, the higher ups sitting in the A/C rooms will simply reject them by saying no provision for cables. They are ready to spend in crores for erecting towers at even one kilometer apart.
      While that is so, TRAI's new proposal has made it compulsory to strengthen the wired line. Will atleast now BSNL realise , concentrate on the less competitive market of the wired line business? Congratulations! We and we only achieved this!

Fortune is a US Magazine . It lists the most profitable companies of almost all the major countries in the world under title "Fortune 500" and it is a prestige symbol. And in this year's list, surprisingly and contrary to the "loss-making-company" and "sinking " images, BSNL is listed one among those 500 ,ranked at 20th position. Despite all the scams and corruptions, despite all the calculated efforts of the vested interests to make BSNL sick,  achieving this  prestigious rank is only and only due to the work force. Congrats brothers and sisters. Let us be unied. Let us be courageous and vigilant. No force can ruin us. For more details click here

These officers will never change

For the past few weeks, day in and day out, all journal, weeklies, dailies, union web sites carry stories on 2G and former Minister Sri Raja. But that scandal takes place once at anytime. But corruption is deep rooted in BSNL (which was very rare while we were on DOT) which has to be eradicated first. Generally all unions point out their fingers to ITS officers. What about the Executives? majority of them are not satisfied even if BSNL offers them the pay and perks of the President of India. Their lust for money is unimaginable. Coerce and grab money is their motto. Who will change these officers who do not bother about the image of BSNL? An SDE is recently arrested for demanding a bribe of Rs. 10000/ What a shame? In losses, BSNL, MTNL fail to recover `6,491cr in dues

 "State-owned telecom operators BSNL and MTNL, which have run 

up huge losses, have to recover over `6,491 crore in dues from their 

customers, Parliament was informed on Monday."

But will we? Are we determined? Is our administration serious about it? Will the ITS officers and the administration will allow BSNL to recover?
